AI Companion Today is an independent review site covering AI companion apps — Candy.ai, Replika, Kupid AI, FantasyGF, Character.AI, and emerging platforms. We launched in April 2026.

What we do

We test AI companion apps for 30 days each, using our own money, and publish honest scores. That's it. We don't write "top 10" listicles based on press releases — every platform on our site has been paid for and used daily for a month before we score it.

Our scoring rubric

Every app is scored on six dimensions:

• Conversation quality — coherence, naturalness, memory
• Memory — retention across days, weeks, months
• Image generation — realism, consistency, speed
• Voice — TTS quality, speech-to-speech latency
• NSFW capability — if advertised, does it actually work?
• Price — value vs competitors

What we don't do

• ❌ We don't take sponsored content disguised as reviews
• ❌ We don't recommend apps we haven't tested
• ❌ We don't hide our affiliate relationships (see our disclosure)
• ❌ We don't publish "best of" lists without real use behind them

How we make money

If you subscribe to an app through a link on our site, we earn a commission. This funds our monthly subscriptions to the platforms we test. Rankings are NOT influenced by commission size — see our full affiliate disclosure.
